How many of us are guilty of going straight to Amazon when we are in need of something. Me me!(I’m raising my hand right now)  The other day I needed to get some more nail polish remover to go with my Gel Nail Kit, and by the time I was done, I had ordered a set of 10 nail polishes,  a pedicure set, oh, and that one small bottle of nail polish remover.  I mean, it was all really important.

Amazon can be super convenient, and I can always find really great prices on everything I am looking for.  So, why not look for fall wreathes!  I started searching around and I could not believe how many really great ones I found.  I decided I needed to do a quick roundup of all the ones that really spoke to me.

Since I am a teeny tiny fan of the farmhouse style, I mean its okay(okay I am slightly obsessed) , I found 22 incredible farmhouse fall wreathes for you to swoon over.

As I was searching through so many lovely harvest and fall wreathes, I started to wonder, “why do we use these things?” Like, really, what is the deal.  I love them, as so many others do, but I wondered where they came from, and why it is such a tradition for us.

Some believe that initially wreaths were hung on doors in Ancient Rome to represent victory. In Christianity, the Christmas wreath was used to symbolize Christ. The circular shape, with no beginning or end, represents eternity or life never ending.

I found some interesting information online and I wont bore you with too much, but I thought the little bit about harvest wreathes seemed appropriate for the types of fall wreathes I was looking for.

“Harvest wreaths, a common household decoration today, are a custom with ancient roots in Europe. The creation of harvest wreaths in Europe can be traced back to ancient times, and is associated with animistic spiritual beliefs. In Ancient Greece, the harvest wreath was a sacred amulet, using wheat or other harvested plants, woven together with red and white wool thread. The harvest wreath would be hung by the door year-round.”

So, what kind of fall wreath ideas are you looking for?  I am a bit partial to the soft neutral looks, but I also find myself quite in love with the berry wreathes and the botanical fall wreathes.
