Ok, so I might have bitten off more than I could chew this week. When I started planning for my little girls birthday party, about 5 days ago, I had tons of ideas! I should have started planning about 3 weeks ago! Oh well, I work better under a deadline.
All my other kids besides Raymee have winter birthdays, so it’s always a cold, indoor party of sorts. Lucky girl Raymes gets a nice May birthday and I finally get to do one outside!
So when I looked outside and saw this?! I knew it was time for a do-over. Going back to my #sneakpeeksunday post, I had found tons of inspiration. Now, if only I could get it all done, without the availability of those convenient stores everyone talks about. Have I not told you? I live in a town with one small hardware store and one small grocery store. This causes you to get creative.
Throughout the week I’ve shown little sneaks of what I have done and was working on. Hoping to keep you all interested! Hope it worked 🙂
So today, after working late into the night all this week, I’m finally done! Well, maybe not all done, I’m never completely done. Things will change, I’ll add or take away. It’s my nature.
Here’s a view from my grass.
I made these two black and white pillows with a curtain from Walmart. I love them.
You see those stump chairs? Yup my lovely husband made them for me. I love that when I have an idea, he’s more than willing to see it come to fruition. I love him for that.
This porch sign is one of my favorites. It was a labor of love. I ended up hand painting the letters since I couldn’t find a method I liked better. Its not perfect, but that’s what I love about it most.
Had to plants some flowers! Loved the color of these petunias. The pillow design was made with a sharpie marker… Always have one in my pocket.
My coffee table here is a little odd, but it’s dual purpose. I bought one of these benches from a salvage store, and when my oldest boy was working on a building project for scouts, lance showed him how to build a bench. So now I have to. Could I get any luckier? Now if we need more seating, we can pull them in!
I’ve had this wire spool lying around for a while and think I found its home. With some tree stump chairs, my kids think this is the best place to eat lunch!!
Meet one of our cats, Fatty McGee. Yes, that’s really his name.
And here’s his sister Jaime… Yeah yeah I know. She’s found the best place to nap.
This ceiling light fixture I bought from Home Depot. It was a white commercial fixture. I spray painted it with a textured paint. I think it really changes the feel of it!
This lovely “bowl” is actually an old disc off our tractor. I’ve been begging my husband for one for a while. He always just scratched his head. Guess he just can’t see my vision:)
I just love the industrial farmhouse feel it adds. It had some great texture and color.
I did a post earlier in the week about my picnic table redo. I just wanted to show the sanding I did on it. You can see some of the grey from the paint that is under the white. I love the dimension it gives.
