Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 peeled and sliced granny smith apples

Instructions

  • Peel and slice your apples( I like to slice them thin so that they cook faster). I use granny smith because I love the tartness(but you can use whatever you love)
  • Put butter, sliced apples, brown sugar, lemon and cinnamon in a sautee pan.
  • Sautee on medium heat for 5-10 minutes until softened. This part is dependent on your preference. I like just a bit of bit to mine, so I test them out and when they are to my liking(about 7 minutes) I turn them off and let them sit for a couple minutes.
  • The flavors are bright and delicious! There is something so wonderful about fresh sauteed apples. Add them to your favorite tart, to the top of ice cream, and more!
