These spicy sauteed green beans with bacon and parmesan is the perfect side dish on busy weeknights or for a holiday party!

Ingredients
214 ozcans of french style green beansYou can also use fresh green beans trimmed and washed. About 3-4 cups of beans will work.
2-3tbspbutter
1tbspminced garlic
1/4 cupfinely diced white onion
4 slicesBacon cooked and finely choppedYou can also use about 1/4 cup bacon bits
1/2cupGrated parmesan cheese
crushed red pepper flakesseason depending on how spicy you like it
Instructions
In a large skillet, add the butter and sautee the garlic and onions on medium heat.
After about 5 minutes add the canned green beans and crushed red pepper flakes and sautee until they are heated through.
Add the bacon bits, parmesan cheese and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
If you choose to use fresh green beans. you can either blanch them prior to using or add them to the sautee pan and cover with a lid to steam them for about 5-10 minutes (depending on the doneness you desire)
