Sourdough Flatbread

With 2 easy ingredients make this amazing sourdough flatbread. It is amazing with eggs, dips and more! Use it as a wrap for a taco or add lunch meat and veggies to it.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sourdough discard or start
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Topping Options

  • fresh herbs
  • fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • everything bagel seasoning
  • garlic
  • olive oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl add your discard, baking powder. Use a spoon to mix it together.
  • Prehead a skillet. I perfer to use a cast iron skillet. Add olive oil or butter to the pan.
  • Once the pan is hot, pour 1/4 cup discard onto the center of the pan. Use the spoon to spread the batter out to make a 5-6 inch round. You can add toppings now.
  • I like to add my toppings now and the flip the flatbread. You can then cook until that side is done. if you add some fresh grated parmesan cheese to the flatbread it will crisp up.
  • I like to cut this in to pie shapes and eat with eggs, dips, or use it as a wrap for any fillings.
  • You can keep these very simple by only adding a sprinkle of salt to the top while cooking. There are so many options!
  • I do not generally store these, because I only make them as needed.
