How to Make a Eucalyptus Wreath for Spring!

Whew! Its been a busy week of posts!  I have been sharing some of my cute Valentines cupcake ideas, cupcake toppers and more! And today I am sharing a super easy way to make a spring inspired eucalyptus wreath using faux eucalyptus garland I found on Amazon. And not only that…but I am sharing my wreath with 17 other bloggers!  We are all bringing you a cute and easy DIY wreath for spring!

This stuff is the best fake eucalyptus garland I have found. It looks so real.  I used it on my mantel for Christmas and I wanted to share how easy it is to recycle stuff like this and reuse it for different seasons, without ruining it or creating something permanent with it.

I am all about reusing my wreath forms.  I change my style and what I want to use so often that its nice to be able to change out the items I use of the wreaths depending on the season.  I love the idea that I can make a wreath and then change out the seasonal items as needed.

So the reason I used this eucalyptus garland is because of how easy it is to create a gorgeous wreath in just minutes! And once you are done using it, you can take the wreath apart easily and reuse the garland somewhere else.

Watch this video and see how easy it is to make this eucalyptus wreath:

I used three items to make this faux eucalyptus wreath:

The light gauge floral wire is my secret weapon.  I use this for so many things, especially wreaths.  It makes it so easy to take apart a wreath and make a new one for a different season.

I used two faux eucalyptus garlands to make this wreath full and beautiful.  Now, they were about 28 dollars a piece, but if I use them for many seasons and many applications I am definitely getting my moneys worth.

I simply use the wire to secure the end of the garland onto the top of the wreath form.  Then I wrap the eucalyptus around the form, securing every 5 inches or so.  Once I have one garland secured all the way around, I got the opposite way with the second garland, making sure to wrap it and fill in and empty spot and keep it all even.

Once I have secured the second piece of eucalyptus garland the wreath is done! You can add a ribbon for hanging or hang it from the grapevine.

The leaves on this garland feel so soft and real.  If you didn’t have the more obvious fake brown wire in the middle it would be completely believable.
