Lemon Inspired Outdoor Spring Tablescape

There’s something about lemons this spring that has me using them everywhere, in my home decor, as well as in yummy treats and recipes! I cannot get enough.  You can see my most recent dried lemon wreath DIY here, or try my gluten free lemon chia pancakes or amazing lemon bars here! They have been made on repeat at my house! Today though, I want to share my most recent lemon inspired outdoor spring tablescape.

A couple nights ago, my 15 year old son was complaining about how he wanted to eat out on the patio for dinner.  I was complaining about how chilly it still was.  After a couple nice warm days I decided it was time to bust out the outdoor dining essentials, wash the tables and have our first(of many) dinners outdoors on our patio. I knew I wanted to have lemons as the main element.

Now, I guess I should back up and let you know I do not theme or decorate our table every time we eat outdoors, but I thought for the first night out, it was worth doing! I have this gorgeous wood bowl that I have been storing my lemons in, and I thought it would be perfect for the center of the table. I flanked the wooden bowl with some of my favorite black candlesticks.

Moving on to the place settings, I used my black dinnerware from Walmart. I love this set so much, especially that gold trim.  I kept the place settings simple with a folded napkin, a dried lemon slice(from all my many projects) and a sprig of evergreen.  Even the smallest things make a big impact.  This table was super easy to throw together.

The table settings are made even better with my gorgeous cut glass goblets from Walmart. The kids were really excited to eat out here.  I even made another batch of lemon bars to enjoy after we ate our fresh tomato pasta and yummy breadsticks!

I love this space and that we have more space to entertain and spend time outside.  A couple more warm days and I might be eating breakfast out here every morning.  That is my most favorite part of the spring/summer.
