Hey my friends! I m super excited about todays post! I mean, I may be secretly working on all things fall right now. Right now, I want to eat fall, sleep fall, and just enjoy it! Honestly, I think I am simply looking for something that makes me happy and helps to distract myself from the goings on of the world. Just a little reprieve from all the crazy. So, today we are talking all about fall wreaths, and I want to share with you my easy pine cone and eucalyptus fall wreath DIY!
Its not secret that I love creating unique wreaths for my home. I literally have an entire library of different wreath ideas right here on my website! Here are a couple of my favorite fall wreath ideas:
I have used up-cycled items such as old baskets, and even a bike wheel as a wreath. I have also used grapevine wreath forms, styrofoam and so much more. You can make wreaths out of just about anything you can think of. It only limited to your imagination. Today I want to share my sweet and simple eucalyptus and pine cone fall wreath DIY.
I love using baskets, or old basket lids as a wreath base. There are so many things you can do using a basket. I found this basket at a thrift store a couple years ago and its been floating around my house even since. I was excited to use it as a wreath.
There is something so perfect about using Eucalyptus in my home decor. its such a versatile greenery and it can be used all year long. The pine cones I am using are bleached pine cones which I love using because of their soft neutral color.
Here are the supplies you will need to make a Eucalyptus and Pine cone wreath similar to this:
This fall wreath DIY is really quite straightforward and easy. Anything is possible with a glue gun.
I started by laying out my Eucalyptus branches, and then I twisted them with wire and wired them to the basket.
Next I used the hot glue gun to glue the pine cones to the basket.
I arranged them in an uneven pattern, with an odd amount of pine cones so that it was more pleasing to the eye,
Guess what? Thats it! I fed a piece of twine through the top fo the basket to hang it with and all was done.
A simple fall porch right now, something to transition to fall from summer, since we aren’t quite into fall yet.
I love the earthy tones of the basket, Eucalyptus and pine cones. Perfect for fall.
Making your own wreath does not have to be complicated or take a lot of work and products.
It can be as simple as 3 elements that all stand out on their own.
Why not try to make one of these yourself! They are super easy and you can customize and make whatever works for you!
