Summertime Farmhouse Entry | Summer Showcase

Blue.  Its my summer color.  I cant get enough of it.  I’m currently in the process of adding a bit to each room.  I’m serious, I cant get enough.  You’ll see what I mean in my summertime farmhouse entry.
Its easy to update your space each season. Check out my summertime farmhouse entry. Its full of shiplap, raw wood, and summer accessories!

Now, I am not saying I am going to go plaster blue paint on the walls, and buy all blue accessories, but I will add some special pieces here and there to bring out that summertime feel.  This is what I tried to do in my summertime farmhouse entry.

Recently I did a $100 dollar room makeover on my entryway.  I added all the farmhouse elements including shiplap, raw wood, and a fiddle leaf fig tree, as well as some farmhouse hooks.  I topped it all of with my cow print from Minted.  I love this space, and I really didn’t want to change a thing, other than giving it a little summer upgrade.

There are a few things that I added to this space, some of them being my favorite accessories.  I am still so in love with my DIY shibori dropcloth pillow, so I left it there, but I added my #4 pillow, since we all know that the 4th of July is coming up soon.

I also added a chippy old bench as a place to rest your feet or sit a spell.  Hey, I have the space in my entry so why not?

Looking for some furniture for your entry?

One of my most used items got moved into my summertime farmhouse entry.  I do a lot of gardening throughout the summer, since we grow a pretty large vegetable garden, and one of the most important items is a nice shade hat.  I keep mine ready and accessible on one of the hooks by the door so I can grab it as I head out to do some work.

A little touch of blue with one of my favorite scarves adds that little bit of blue I was wanting.  See what I mean?  I didn’t want to go crazy, because all you really need to make an impact are a few small things.  You don’t want it to look like it threw up one color all over the room.  They key is balance.  It makes those items stand out just a little bit more.

An entry is a persons first impression on what the rest of your home is like.  Its the feeling that you want to convey.  I hope that people entering my home feel welcomed and at home.  I am obsessed with creating cozy, inviting spaces for those around me.

I hope you enjoyed peeking in on a little slice of my home.  I am excited to be part of a Room by Room Summertime Series.  This week we are showing you our entryways, and next Wednesday we will be showing off our kitchens a bit.  Make sure you come back and check those out as well!  We will be featuring one room each week until mid August, so if you are looking for some inspiration this summer, this would definitely be the time to do it.
Make sure you PIN IT:

Your entry is so fresh and inviting. You are spot on with the subtle touches of blue – they really add to the space without being too obtrusive. And I love how everything looks so casually decorated. It makes the space look so inviting and so comfortable to walk into. Just love everything about it!
