DIY Built In Floating Corner Desk

I am excited to share a super easy DIY project with you today! We chose to build this DIY floating corner desk for my sons room remodeling.  I want to share how we did it with you!

What you need

– 24 Inch Board – Pine Trim – Table Legs – Miter Saw – L Brackets – Wood Stain – Driver and Drill – Wood Screws

We created the look of butcher board with pine trim and glued and nailed it to wood shelves. Once secured to the board, we puttied any holes and sanded.

Build the Top

We measured and installed a ledger board along the wall where the table top would rest. We cut a section out so the table would fit right in the board and batten.

Ledger Board

We made sure the top was level, then added trim board as a brace. We secured both L pieces together. We then attached the legs underneath with L brackets.

Add Tabletop and Legs

Give it a sand and stain and it's done! The faux butcher block top is gorgeous on our DIY floating corner desk. I love the way it looks with the entire new room. It is the perfect space for our growing teenage son.
