How to Keep Strawberries Fresh for Days

I want to share how I keep my strawberries fresh longer. I'm blown away at how much longer they last! This lengthens the shelf life by at least a week, and mine have stayed fresh for over 2 weeks.

First, you want to take your unwashed strawberries and remove any fruit that are in bad shape. Use a large bowl or your kitchen sink.

Remove Bad Fruit

Fill a large bowl with water and vinegar. Add the berries. Soak for 10 minutes. Then put them in a strainer and rinse with cool water.

Vinegar Bath

Lay them out and let them dry completely. Leave them at room temperature until they are completely dried. This can take about an hour or two.

Lay Out to Dry

Lay a paper towel in the bottom of a tupperware or jar. Set a layer of strawberries on top. Add another paper towel and repeat, adding more strawberries.

Store in a Container

You can store these strawberries in your fridge for weeks! Mine have lasted almost three weeks and were still firm and tasted fresh.
