mix the butter, garlic, fresh basil and parmesan cheese in a bowl and mix it together.
Cut your french bread in half the length of the bread.
Spread the butter mixture over the bread and place in the oven under the broiler. Broil until the top is browned and toasted. Watch it closely because broilers are notorious for burning food very quickly.
Cut it into pieces and serve warm.
Save extra pieces in an airtight container and save for 2-3 days.
